Two downtown arterials – Northeast Fourth Street and 100th Avenue Northeast – will be closed to regular traffic during and immediately after the fireworks on the evening of Sunday, July 4.
The Symetra Family 4th fireworks are set to begin at 10:05 p.m. at Bellevue Downtown Park. Starting at 9:30 p.m., all cars will be barred from Northeast Fourth between 100th Avenue Northeast and Bellevue Way, and from 100th Avenue Northeast between Northeast First and Fifth streets.
After the fireworks, those streets will be reserved, for about an hour, for one-way traffic departing downtown (eastbound on Fourth Street, northbound on 100th Avenue). Some turns will be restricted to help clear traffic:
No right turns off 100th Avenue onto Northeast Eighth Street. Drivers may turn right on Northeast 10th Street.
No left turns off southbound 102nd Avenue Northeast onto eastbound Northeast Eighth Street.
No left turns off southbound Bellevue Way onto eastbound Northeast Fourth Street. Drivers headed to I-90 or I-405 may continue south on Bellevue Way.
When traffic clears, the roads will re-open to regular traffic and turn restrictions will be lifted.
