The city of Bellevue will hold a reception 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Bellevue City Hall for the public to meet the finalists for city police chief.

Former chief Linda Pillo retired in April, and her predecessor Jim Montgomery has been filling the position in the interim.

The city expects to announce the finalists before the reception, but declined to provide that information before press time.

City Manager Brad Miyake will ultimately hire Bellevue’s next police chief, who is expected to start by early 2015.
