Drivers headed in or out of Bellevue on I-405 and I-90 this weekend should consider alternate routes and plan for delays. Crews are re-striping the roadway to create a work zone, closing on- and off-ramps from I-90 to Bellevue Way to pave, and closing a lane for drainage work.
Bellevue Way SE ramp closures
Crews will close the Bellevue Way off-ramps from eastbound and westbound I-90 at 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 4 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 7 to repave the ramps. The on-ramps from Bellevue Way to I-90 will remain open throughout the weekend. Drivers will be detoured to I-405, SE 8th Street, and 112th Avenue before meeting up with Bellevue Way again.
Lane closures on southbound I-405 Saturday night
If the weather cooperates, crews will restripe southbound I-405 between SR 520 and NE Eighth Street Saturday, June 5. Crews will close one lane at 8 p.m., a second lane at 9 p.m. with all but one lane closed by 11 p.m. One lane will remain open all night. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. Sunday, June 6.
Monday night, if the weather holds, crews will restripe northbound I-405 from NE Fourth Street to SR 520 overnight. Crews will close multiple ramps in downtown Bellevue for restriping. Lane closures begin at 8 p.m. Monday, June 7 with all lanes detoured to a single lane by 11:30 p.m.
Lane closures on northbound I-405
At 6 p.m. Saturday, June 5 until Monday morning, June 7 crews will close the far right lane of northbound I-405 from NE 12th Street to SR 520 to install a drainage line. Crews will close a second lane from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. in the same area Saturday and Sunday night. Drivers should be cautious near the lane closure, especially where drivers merge to northbound I-405 from NE Eighth Street. All lanes will open by 5 a.m. Monday.
