Bellevue TV videos finalists for national awards

Features produced for Bellevue Television’s “It’s Your City” program have been named finalists for three 2011 National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) Government Programming Awards.

 

Features produced for Bellevue Television’s “It’s Your City” program have been named finalists for three 2011 National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) Government Programming Awards.

The show’s “Environmental Tip of the Month” feature is a finalist in the promotional video campaign category; “Bellevue Youth Theatre – 20th Anniversary” is a finalist in the arts and entertainment category; and “Bike safety – Tips to safely explore Bellevue by bicycle,” is a finalist in the public safety video category.

“It’s Your City” is a monthly magazine show featuring city programs and services. The show is produced under the direction of David Grant, interim city communications director; John Burwell, executive producer; Robin Steel Haaseth, executive producer and host; David Bruckner, producer/director and David Richardson, editor.

The show airs several times each month on Bellevue Television (BTV Channel 21), and can also be seen any time at the City of Bellevue Web page.

NATOA issues government programming awards each year to recognize excellence in programming produced by local government. NATOA receives more than 1,000 entries annually representing more than 150 agencies throughout the USA and Canada. The 2011 awards will be presented Sept. 23.
