Rebecca N. Townsend of Bellevue received Seattle Pacific University’s Medallion Award during the alumni awards luncheon held Jan. 28.

The annual award honors alumni who have “given outstanding service to Seattle Pacific University, his/her community and chosen profession.” The award recognizes those whose contributions “are more focused and more locally recognized.”

Townsend is senior vice president of Covenant Retirement Communities.

The award recognized Townsend’s lifetime efforts, particularly her 20-plus years of service to senior adults in faith-based Covenant Retirement Communities, the nation’s fifth largest senior living organization.
