After a year of work to “complete the circle” of Downtown Park, the city is hosting a grand reopening of the park next Wednesday, June 28.
The park, located at 10201 NE 4th St. in the heart of Downtown, will welcome Bellevue residents and nearby employees from 3 to 6 p.m. on June 28, complete with a ribbon cutting, the Sea Gals dance squad and Blue Thunder (both of which are Seahawks-related entities), live music and refreshments.
The opening of the park completes at 35-year-old vision from when the city first purchased the land on which the park now sits from the Bellevue School District.
The city has added, with a partnership through Bellevue Rotary, the Inspiration Playground. The new Inspiration Playground will have a universally accessible design and feature sensory-rich play experiences and equipment suitable for all ages and abilities.
