An 8-hour boating safety education class, sponsored and taught by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 28 at Bellevue Fire Station 9, 12412 S.E. 69th Way.
The state’s mandatory boater’s education requires boat operators to take a boaters education safety course in order to operate a boat in the state. The law applies to operators of motorboats with 15 horsepower or greater. Passage of the course will meet the state’s boating safety requirement.
