Jcpenney will ask shoppers to round up their purchases and donating the difference to to local after-school organizations. In Bellevue, the project will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue.
The event, called Pennies from Heaven, will continue through Aug. 27.
“With budget cuts in education, there’s never been a more important time to support after school programs as a valuable community resource that helps to bridge the education gap,” said Kathy Haggart, President/CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue.
More information about the program is available at www.jcp.com/pennies.
