The Bravern will kick off the holiday season with its second annual tree-lighting ceremony from 5-8 p.m. Friday as part of the “Enchanted Holidays at The Bravern.” The ceremony will include a visit from Santa in a horse-drawn carriage alongside Jamie and Karen Moyer of The Moyer Foundation and two campers from Camp Mariposa.
Families can relax by the fire, sip steaming hot beverages and sing along with The Dickens Carolers. The Bravern will offer pony rides for children. Donations for the beverages and pony rides will benefit The Moyer Foundation. Santa will arrive to light the tree at 6 p.m.
The Bravern holiday tree will be 35 feet tall. There will be 4,400 feet of live garland throughout the shopping center. A total of 10,000 jewel-colored ornaments will cover the tree and garland.
The Bravern is located at the intersection of Northeast Eighth Street and 110th Avenue Northeast in Bellevue.
Pony rides will continue in the 110th Avenue arrival court every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. between Nov. 26 and Dec. 24. Riders are encouraged to make a donation to The Moyer Foundation.
