Overlake Hospital Medical Center will host a free educational conference called “Cancer Survivorship: Looking to Your Future” on Saturday, June 13,
The all-day conference will connect cancer survivors and caregivers with healthcare providers who can provide new and valuable information about survivorship including physical health, risk of recurrence, surveillance, side effects of therapy, mental health, self care and more.
Speakers at the conference will include Debra Jarvis, author of “It’s Not About the Hair,” who will deliver the keynote address and Joslyn Kalaulani Noa Donlin, an attorney who will discuss legal rights of a patient. Other speakers will discuss a range of topics from nutrition for cancer survivors to genetic testing.
The event is free to the public and will be held at the PACCAR Education Center on Overlake’s Bellevue campus from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and educational resource tables will be available to all participants.
An exhibit titled Lilly Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey will be on display in the main walkway in the Overlake Medical Tower and the PACCAR Education Center lobby from June 1 through June 14.
