An apparently unoccupied car crashed into the Woodland Commons apartment complex in Bellevue at 12:48 a.m. Wednesday after first striking several cars in the parking lot.

According to Bellevue Police, the driver said he was not in the car, but had it running to warm up. There were no injuries.

Bellevue Police Office Seth Tyler said it is illegal to leave a car unoccupied while it is running, adding that one of the dangers is that it increases the chance it could be stolen. The incident remains under investigation.
