The Cascade Water Alliance is offering a special Earth Day promotion for rebates on WashWise high-efficiency clothes washers.

From April 15 to May 15, Cascade will offer an additional $50 for a total rebate of $150 on the highest tier of efficient washers. Officials say that if people factor in the rebate and utility savings, WashWise washers actually can cost less over the lifetime of the machine when compared to traditional top loaders.

Cascade officials say retailers are aware of the washer rebate program so they typically give the customer a rebate application form at the time of purchase. People also can find the form on Cascade’s web site www.cascadewater.org.
