Charity run in Medina to disrupt traffic Saturday

A charity run, from approximately 8:30-10 a.m. in Medina on Saturday, Sept. 29, will result in some momentary delays and detours. The event begins at St. Thomas.

 

A charity run, from approximately 8:30-10 a.m. in Medina on Saturday, Sept. 29, will result in some momentary delays and detours. The event begins at St. Thomas.

Here are directions on how to navigate the city with as little delay as possible:

To exit Medina, if you live north of NE Eighth, travel southbound on Evergreen Point Road and then eastbound on NE Eighth. Vehicles exiting from NE 14th, NE 16th, NE 18th, and NE 22nd will be permitted to turn onto southbound Evergreen Point Road as breaks in the race participants allow.

If you live north of NE 24th, you will be directed up to Evergreen Point Road where you will head south to NE Eighth.

To enter Medina, if you are going north of NE Eighth, use NE 24th and then proceed south or northbound on Evergreen Point Road to reach your destination. You will be able to turn from Evergreen Point Road onto NE 10th, NE 14th, NE 16th, NE 18th and NE 22nd.

If you are headed westbound on NE 24th you will not be permitted to cross the eastbound lane of traffic. You will have to go up to Evergreen Point Road and then access that area off of either NE 22nd or NE 16th.
