Police and firefighters responded to the Chevron station on 100th Avenue Northeast and Main Street around 11 a.m., where a 73-year-old Bellevue woman reportedly drove her SUV over a gas station employee.

Bellevue Police Ofc. Seth Tyler said the woman had just finished fueling her vehicle, and pulled out of her stall, not seeing a gas station attendant who was the tire valve stem of a vehicle.

The 59-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was trapped under the vehicle until firefighters were able to lift the car and remove him.

The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
