Holy Cross Lutheran Church in south Bellevue will host the Jubilee Country Fair in its orchard Sept. 11.
Holy Cross Lutheran is located on the corner of Newport Way and Factoria Boulevard.
The event will include:
Freshly-made food prepared by the Newport High School Culinary Arts class
Tours of the P-Patch gardens that provide fresh food for the community
A chance to help make fresh apple cider
Information on how to tie a quilt and a chance to win a quilt
Games for prizes and balloon animals and balloon hats
Crafts hosted by local girl scouts and
Music in the new amphitheater on the 3-acre park-like campus
Various community groups also will have booths to provide information and education about the many volunteer opportunities in Bellevue and beyond.
Preceding the fair, Holy Cross will host an ecumenical outdoor worship service at 10:30 a.m. that will focus on creation, gratitude for the harvest and community collaboration. The service will be the inaugural event in the newly created amphitheater built as a community gathering project in partnership with the Pomegranate Center of Issaquah.
