Bellevue City Councilman Conrad Lee will seek re-election to the Bellevue City Council.

“I am just as excited as when I first ran 18 years ago,” Lee said. “I am proud of being the change agent that has helped bring fiscal responsibility and strong financial condition to the city.”

Lee noted that Bellevue has earned the reputation as the best place to live and do business has the lowest property tax rate in the state and is safe.

“I want to make sure Bellevue stays one of the most family and business friendly places,” Lee said.

Lee, was born in China and raised in Hong Kong. He is the first minority ever elected to the council. He has been a cub-scout master, Little League baseball/youth soccer coach, National League of Cities board member and U. S. Small Business Administration Regional Administrator.

Lee said he intends to continue to do everything he can in a fiscally responsible way to keep the city financially strong, attract families and businesses to Bellevue, as well as work with regional, state and federal government on public safety, transportation, and preserving our communities and neighborhoods.

“I want to make sure we leave this world a better place for our children than it is for us. It does not happen by itself. We have to work at it,” he said.
