The King Conservation District will hold an election for an open position on its board of supervisors March 16.
Individuals interested in running for the position, which has a three-year term, should contact the district for information on board duties and responsibilities.
Candidates must complete a candidate information form and complete a nominating petition with at least 25 signatures of registered voters who reside within the district. The petition must be delivered to the district office by 5 p.m. February 16 to be included on the ballot.
Copies of the information form and petition are available online at www.scc.wa.gov/elections or at the district office at 1107 SW Grady Way, Suite 130, Renton.
All registered voters who reside within the district’s boundaries are eligible to run for the position. District boundaries include all of King County, excluding the cities of Enumclaw, Federal Way, Milton, Pacific and Skykomish.
The district provides information and technical assistance programs that are available to all landowners within the district’s boundaries on a voluntary, non-regulatory basis.
