Den and Debbie Case installed at Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club

Ken and Debbie Case were installed as the newest Commodore and First Lady of Bellevue's Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club on Saturday, June 5.

Ken and Debbie Case were installed as the newest Commodore and First Lady of Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club on Saturday, June 5.

The club has 250 regular members and most of them were in attendance for the traditional “Changing of the Watch” ceremony, celebratory Lake Washington cruise and dinner.

Case, a member since 2003, succeeds Firman Smith who has led the club for the past year. Greg Abell has been installed as Vice Commodore, with Loretta Pieretti moving up to Rear Commodore and Bud Smith coming aboard as Fleet Captain.

The club has an active summer youth sailing program which is open to the public. The program teaches up to 24 young sailors per week for 10 weeks and includes a racing team. Interested parents can check the club’s website, www.mbycwa.org.
