Bellevue’s Downtown Art and Park Walk will take place May 30 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring more than 20 pieces of public art, from the immense “Compass” at City Hall to sculptures complementing new wayfinding kiosks.

Participants can register for either a six- or 10-kilometer walking route and experience a variety of artwork at points of interest, including Meydenbauer Beach Park, Old Main Street, Wildwood Park, Downtown Park, City Hall and the Bellevue Arts Museum. Walkers must complete the walk by 3 p.m.

The event is free for the general public and $3 for American Volkssport Association members seeking credit. Registration will take place on the morning of the event at the Northwest Arts Center (9825 Northeast 24th Street) from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Downtown Bellevue Art and Park Walk is the second of a series of four walks in Bellevue highlighting the city’s art, parks, natural and historic sites.

There are two remaining walks in the series, one each in September and October:

• Sept. 19: Lake-to-Lake Greenway Trail 15K Walk. Walk through parks and open space, from Weowna Park near Lake Sammamish to the Mercer Slough Blueberry Farm close to Lake Washington.

• Oct. 11: Lakemont Lewis Creek 5K Walk. Hiking trails around Lewis Creek.
