Dr. J. Tim Mills was sworn in as the new superintendent of the Bellevue School District Tuesday afternoon, as part of a school board meeting that also recognized interim superintendent Eva Collins.

“I want to thank Eva for her excellent communication and her ability to help us move forward in reaching our goals without skipping a beat,” said School Board President Paul Mills, before reciting the oath.

Collins has served as the interim superintendent of the school district since former superintendent Amalia Cudeiro resigned in December 2011. She will resume her role as assistant superintendent immediately.
