The Eastside Heritage Center’s annual Benefit Dinner will feature a walk down memory lane with historic photo displays and exhibits from the center’s extensive artifact collection.

The event will be from 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Center.

The evening begins with a wine reception featuring a full range of hors d’oeuvres. A silent auction during the reception includes items such as a NW Seaplanes flight; a 3-night stay at a historic vacation home in Seaview, Wash.; a six-year wine vertical from a Washington winemaker; a day of sailing on Puget Sound; an Old Bellevue Experience package; and a $500 gift certificate to The Bellevue Collection.

Guests also will have a special opportunity to “Save a Story” by directly supporting the digitization of rare oral history tapes in Eastside Heritage Center’s collection, ensuring their preservation and accessibility for future generations.

During the dinner program, several Eastside legacy and generational family will share their stories. Each will share their history, memories and experiences of living and working on the Eastside.

Thanks to the support of sponsors, including The Bellevue Collection, Crossroads Bellevue, Su Development, the Family of Lucille McDonald, King County Councilmember Jane Hague District 6, and Tim & Edie Johnson, 100 percent of the donations received at the event will help the center present educational public programs and preserve its collection of Eastside stories and more than 30,000 artifacts and historic photos.
