Renton

North Bend

Twin Peaks Fest is back in North Bend on Aug. 3-5, and, for the first time, it is sold out. Only 200 people will be attendance, making the festival perhaps the smallest international (some regular attendants come from England and Japan) festival in the world. We’ll assume they all will be having want a slice of pie and “a damn fine cup of coffee.”

Issaquah

Pictured are Neethling and his daughters, Maria Henderson, left, and Gabrielle Statkus, right, who joined him for the last day.

Ginny Tyler, once Disney’s head Mouseketeer, died in Issaquah at age 86 from natural causes July 13. When episodes of the TV show “The Mickey Mouse Club” were syndicated in 1963, Tyler became the new head Mouseketeer, hosting new segments of the show that were intermixed with older shows. She also did some voice acting, including on the record “Bambi,” and acted as Polynesia the Parrot in “Dr. Dolittle.”

American Hero Quilts, sewn to honor wounded American soldiers, are on display in Issaquah. They are on display through Aug. 19 at Bellewood Retirement Center, 3710 Providence Point Drive SE,  Issaquah.
