The Kelsey Creek Farm Fair, Bellevue’s annual celebration of autumn, is coming up this weekend. Highlights will include heritage demonstrations from the Oregon Trail Travelers, pumpkin decorating, hay rides and live music.

People will also get a chance to see a variety of habitats and pristine natural areas at a 44-acre park during the Lewis Creek 5K Walk on Sunday.

The 27th annual farm fair will be Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. In addition to the attractions already mentioned, there will be animal exhibits, pony rides, inflatable toys for children and live entertainment by Cowboy Buck.

Entrance to the fair is free, but there will be a cost for some activities and food. There is no cash machine on site, and no charge cards are accepted.

Kelsey Creek Park is located at 410 130th Pl. SE. Off-site parking and shuttles are available from two nearby locations – Bannerwood Sports Park, 1630 132nd Ave. SE, and Wilburton Park and Ride, 720 114th Ave. SE. Shuttle service begins at 10:45 a.m. and runs throughout the day, approximately every 20 minutes. The last shuttle leaves Kelsey Creek Farm Park at 3:30 p.m.

The Lewis Creek Park features boardwalks and soft-surface trails. Walkers sign in and start from the visitor center, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and complete the walk by 3 p.m. The event is free.

The park is located at 5808 Lakemont Blvd.

The Lewis Creek walk is the last of a four park walks this year that highlight the best of Bellevue’s art, parks, history, natural areas and trails. Information regarding 2010 walks will be available in January.
