All nine Bellevue fire stations will open their doors and welcome the public to visit with firefighters on Saturday, Oct. 10. For the annual open houses, the stations will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to stop by and ask questions, get fire safety advice, take pictures and see the fire trucks.

Firefighters also will be at local libraries this week to mark Fire Prevention Week. Firefighters will read at the Newport Way Library (14250 SE Newport Way) at 7 p.m. today and at the Bellevue Regional Library (1111 110th Ave NE) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.

Children are welcome at both readings.
