Five Bellevue residents, all from Newport High School, have been awarded Boeing Employees Credit Union Foundation scholarships for community service by graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students.
Marisa Dichter volunteerd with Youth Group to help Victims of Hurricane Katrina. She will attend the University of Washington. Kristene Suyematsu, volunteered at Wynwood Nursing Home. She will attend Seattle University. Anna Borroz, volunteered at her church and East Shore Youth Group. She will Gonzaga University. Garrett Lee volunteered on a Mission in Nairobi Kenya. He will attend Stanford University. Austin Davis is co-founder of the nonprofit Washington Student Math Association. He will attend Carnegie Mellon University.
