February 1

Tech thieves: Six juvenile African-American males wearing hoodies entered the Apple store in Bellevue Square en masse, grabbed 13 iPhones and ran out of the store. They were in and out of the store within 25 seconds. The suspect descriptions match suspects who have committed large scale grab and runs at the Apple store in Southcenter and Tacoma over the last few weeks.

February 2

Possible assault: The victim told police that she was walking home on the 15000 block of NE 8th St. when she was attacked from behind, robbed and possibly sexually assaulted. The suspect allegedly said “Give me money, or I will kill you and I’m going to (expletive) you.” At this point, police say it is unclear what occured. The K-9 track went nowhere and no witnesses were located.

February 3

Stealing steaks: A woman attempted to steal steaks from Whole Foods by hiding them inside her purse.

Frenemies: A young man went to his friend’s house on 116th Avenue Southeast to try and convince him to hang out. It was late and the friend didn’t want to hang out. Several minutes later, the shunned subject’s older brother saw the previously antisocial friend outside. After the friend ran away, the brother discovered that the family’s three cars had been spray-painted with the word “Nazi” and other items. No one witnessed the crime, but police are investigating the soon-to-be former friend as a suspect.

February 4

Construction site craziness: Officers responded to a call of a subject “naked, yelling and freaking out” at a construction site on 106th Avenue Northeast. Upon arrival, they found the subject lying face down on the concrete inside of a shed, nude. He had thrown his wallet and cellphone into the tank of a portable toilet. His girlfriend, when contacted by phone, advised that he recently had his medications changed, so officers transported him to Overlake Medical Center.

February 6

Stalker stopped: A police lieutenant was working off-duty at Lincoln Square when he observed a male at Lucky Strike preying on very intoxicated females. The suspect was observed walking up to a woman and putting his hand around her waist and shoulders several times before being pushed off by her friends. The lieutenant then observed the subject approach three other very intoxicated females outside of Parlor Live, approaching the most visibly intoxicated woman and putting her hands around her. The suspect was known by police for various incidents, including one in 2014 when he was stalking/lurking in the same fashion and another in which he was arrested for attempted voyeurism for trying to look under stalls in the women’s bathroom. The lieutenant approached him and kicked him off of all Kemper Development property for a year.

February 7

Armed robbers arrested: At about 11 p.m., officers received a call about an armed robbery at the bus stop at 1600 Bellevue Way. The 67-year-old victim said he was waiting for the bus when a white car drove up and four black males exited. One of the males showed the victim a gun in his waistband as he demanded his belongings. The other three males grabbed the victim’s suitcases and wallet then got back into the vehicle. The car and the six suspects were located on Main Street. The driver admitted to the robbery in Bellevue and another in Renton earlier that evening, and police located a BB gun in the glove box of the car. The two adult suspects were booked into jail and the four juveniles were booked into King County Youth Corrections.
