Late night and early morning SR 520 drivers should plan to take alternate routes across and around Lake Washington on Thursday. In addition to on-going overnight closures to install tolling equipment, crews will intermittently close the SR 520 floating bridge to conduct their monthly maintenance work.
Starting at 2:30 a.m., Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews will close all lanes on the floating bridge for up to 30 minutes at a time to test the bridge systems and drawspan to make sure they are in working order. The maintenance work is expected to conclude by 5 a.m.
Crews will:
· Close the right lane on westbound SR 520 from the east high rise to the west high rise from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
· Close all lanes of eastbound SR 520 from Montlake Blvd. to 92nd Avenue NE from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m.
· Conduct intermittent 30-minute full closures of the SR 520 Evergreen Point Floating Bridge from 2:30 to 5 a.m.
