Geotechnical drilling closes SR 520 Montlake Blvd ramps three nights this week

Geotechnical drilling crews will close the Montlake Boulevard East ramps to and from State Route 520 during overnight hours beginning tonight through Thursday morning.

Geotechnical drilling crews will close the Montlake Boulevard East ramps to and from State Route 520 during overnight hours beginning tonight through Thursday morning.

 

The first closure will be the on-ramp from Montlake Boulevard East to westbound SR 520 from 10 p.m. today until 5:30 a.m. tomorrow.

 

To keep traffic moving during the day, crews will close the Montlake Boulevard ramps at the following dates, times and locations:

  • June 20, 10:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., the on-ramp from Montlake Boulevard East to westbound SR 520.
  • June 21, 11:59 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., the off-ramp from eastbound SR 520 to Montlake Boulevard East.
  • June 22, 11:59 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., the on-ramp from Montlake Boulevard East to westbound SR 520.

 

Crews are conducting geotechnical drilling to collect information that will help further the design of new SR 520 structures, including foundations for the new bridges, lid structures, retaining walls and stormwater facilities.
