If you’re a late night driver plan for extra drive time if you take I-90 through Bellevue. Overnight closures are set to hit I-90 at I-405 in Bellevue for the next two weeks while crews remove construction materials from the new I-405 southbound freeway bridge above the freeway.
To keep drivers safe from falling debris, crews will need to close the lanes that go underneath the bridge. This means full closures in one direction of I-90 on weeknights Monday, Dec 8 through Thursday, Dec. 18.
Eastbound I-90 will close Monday, Dec. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 11 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. During the closure drivers will be detoured on I-405 to Coal Creek Parkway before returning to I-90.
Westbound I-90 will close Monday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. During the closure, drivers will be detoured on I-405 to NE Eighth St before returning to I-90.
In addition to the I-90 closures there will be area ramp closures and a nearby bicycle path closure the first and second week of work.
