Bellevue College will host a Healthy Kids, Healthy Families Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at the school.
The free fair is planned by the college’s Parent Education Program in association with the Parents Advisory Committee and Swedish, along with support from Arena Sports, Essential Health Chiropractic and Whole Foods Market.
Activities will include:
· Mini seminars (15-20 minutes in length) from Swedish physicians and Bellevue College Parent Education instructors
· Swedish’s Teddy Bear Clinic, where kids can bring a favorite teddy bear or doll for a check-up
· An array of exhibitors who will showcase products and services centered around the physical, nutritional and emotional health of children and families
· A creative activities room for children with interactive play and exploration opportunities
· Healthy snacks, as well as nutritional information and suggestions.
· A raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the BC Parent Education Program Scholarship Fund
· Pediatric experts will answer questions at Swedish’s “Ask-the-Doc” presentation
· My ID Club with offer children under 16 (when accompanied by a parent or guardian) a free photograph/fingerprint ID card.
Also, the first 200 attendees will receive a free, re-usable bag.
Performing live at 11:30 a.m. will be children’s musical act, The Harmonica Pocket.
Additional exhibitors at the event include: Whole Foods Market, Great Play of Redmond, Urbansitters, Eastside Pediatric Dental Group, Happy Family Brands, Optimal Health Chiropractic, Adventure Kids of Bellevue, Do Terra Essential Oils, The Little Gym of Issaquah, and Smith Brother Farms.
The fair will be in the college’s cafeteria, 3000 Landerholm Circle S.E.
