Walkers will be out in force Saturday as Rotary Walks! Hike for Healthy Kids returns.
The goal of the event is to encourage a healthy lifestyle and the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club welcomes families, teams, and walkers of all ages to participate in a 7K loop in the city of Bellevue.
Proceeds from the event enhance the BBRC’s support of local organizations and programs for children and families, including but not limited to: Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, Business Week, Hopelink, Kindering Center, Eastside YMCA, YWCA Family Village, and Treehouse.
Teams of walkers are encouraged to participate in the event. To register go to www.bbrc.net or http://rotarywalks.bbrc.net/ and follow the Hike for Health Kids link to the registration page. Cost is $25 per person, children under 12 are free.
Registration is from 7-8:45 a.m. The walk begins at 9.
Each walker will be given a black Brooks Sports T-shirt with colorful Hike for Healthy Kids logo. Entertainment and activities will be provided before and after the walk. The walk begins at Bellevue City Hall.
The BBRC, in cooperation with the city of Bellevue and the Fit and Active Community Initiative, is hosting the event.
