‘Exile and Homecoming,” a discussion focussing on classical literary works, will be presented from 6:45-8:15 p.m. on Nov. 2 at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue.
Presented by Dr. Scott & Christina Dudley, the evening will use classical literary works of Homer’s The Odyssey, Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind, and John Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath to discuss what do earthly homes represent and how do they fall short.
The Dudleys received doctorate and MA degrees in English Literature from Stanford University, where they both taught literature. Scott is senior pastor at the church. Christina is the author of several novels.
The event is free, but a goodwill offering will be accepted.
The church is located at 1717 Bellevue Way NE.
