Hopelink still needs toy donations to help needy kids

Toy donations are still running behind as Hopelink prepares to open its Holiday Gift Rooms for local families next week. Thousands of Hopelink families have registered for the gift rooms, but many may be turned away unless donations pick up over the final two days.

Toy donations are still running behind as Hopelink prepares to open its Holiday Gift Rooms for local families next week. Thousands of Hopelink families have registered for the gift rooms, but many may be turned away unless donations pick up over the final two days.

Last year, nearly 7,000 children received a new toy from one of Hopelink’s five Holiday Gift Rooms.

Unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the Hopelink Centers in Redmond, Bellevue and Sno-Valley (Carnation) until 5 p.m. today (Dec. 14) and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow (Dec. 15).

Toys also can be dropped off at a number of Tully’s locations through today, including Tully’s at 10812 Main St., Bellevue.
