Rwanda Partners will host a charitable event – “Chef John Howie’s Fall Flavors” – that will include a private cooking demonstration as well as a preview to Howie’s latest cookbook and a take home recipe.
The event will be Thursday at the Great Room at the Civica – 205 108th Ave. NE, Bellevue.
Inspired by cuisines from a variety of Asian, European, and American cultures, Howie uses an eclectic array of cooking styles to create his one-of-a-kind recipes. He describes his style of cooking as “fresh, Pacific Northwest seasonal foods influenced by world cuisines.”
In addition to the recipes, the book includes interesting stories about the 35-year history of his restaurant business experience.
“The book also speaks to the charitable organizations that I have supported and partnered with over the years,” Howie added.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and Howie will present his program at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $48 per person and are limited. Call 206-719-4884 to purchase tickets.
