Fred Hutch is looking for more than 100 volunteers to serve as course marshals for this year’s Obliteride to raise funds for cancer research.
One of the biggest fundraisers for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, more than $4.1 million was raised in the first two years of the Obliteride, where bicyclist pay to ride a 10, 25, 50, 100 or 150 mile route. To learn more about the courses, click here.
Course marshals provide cyclists with direction and cheer them on from a number of positions in Seattle and the Eastside. This year’s Obliteride will require 20 course marshals for Eastside positions, all lasting about four hours. To register as a volunteer, click here.
The Obliteride takes place Aug. 8-9
