Drivers traveling on Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass can breathe a sigh of relief because this is the last weekend of scheduled 24-hour lane closures until this fall between Easton and Cle Elum.

After Labor Day weekend, crews will resume work on the I-90 Lake Easton to Big Creek Panel Replacement project, which will again require 24-hour lane closures so crews can repair and replace the right eastbound lane of I-90 near Easton.

This weekend drivers should still plan for at least an hour of added travel time.

On Friday, May 20 at 9 a.m. to Sunday, May 22 at 9 a.m., both lanes of eastbound I-90 and one lane westbound will open to traffic.

On Sunday, May 22 at 9 a.m. to Monday, May 23 at 6 a.m., both lanes of westbound I-90 and one lane eastbound will open to traffic.

On Monday, May 23 at 9 a.m. through Friday, May 27 at 6 a.m., traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction.

On Friday, May 27 at 6 a.m., two lanes in both directions will open to traffic. Concrete barrier will remain in place in the westbound lanes from milepost 77 to milepost 80.

For the I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East – Hyak to Keechelus Dam project from Hyak (milepost 54) to the snowshed (milepost 58), drivers traveling eastbound tonight should plan for added travel time. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and contractor crews will close the right eastbound lane at milepost 58 starting at 9 p.m. to install barrier.
