Interlake High School music students place high in the Washington State Solo and Ensemble Contest at Central Washington University in Ellensburg on April 26.

Justin Almazan placed second in the viola soloist contest and Emily Hanson placed third in the cello soloist contest.

The Interlake High School Jazz Band took third place in the Group C division at the Reno Jazz Festival in Reno Nevada on Saturday, April 26. Interlake then went on to take first place at the Bellevue High School Jazz Festival the following weekend, May 3, in the AAA division.
