Janet Mary Valley of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 in Kirkland. She was 71.
Mrs. Valley was born May 11, 1939 in Loup City, Neb., to John and Victoria Larchick. On June 22, 1963 she married Ernest J. Valley in Littleton, Colo., and in April of 1966 they settled in Bellevue.
She was member of the Republican Party, Right to Life and St. Monica’s Catholic Church on Mercer Island.
Survivors include her husband, Ernie Valley of Bellevue; children, James Valley of Centerville, Ohio, Teresa Valley of Bothell and Lisa Lafferty of Everett; siblings, Ray Czarnek of Longmont, Colo., Norman Larchick of Aurora, Colo., Maxine Hurt of Ashton, Neb., and Bonnie Damrow of Lincoln, Neb.; nine grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.
The family suggests donations to one of Mrs. Valley’s causes in her memory: HWIFC Cancer Research (Dr. John Catanzaro) 5603 230th St. S.W., Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043 (there is a scholarship in Mrs. Valley’s name so that other cancer patients can afford the natural cancer treatments and improve their quality of life with cancer) or St. Monica’s Respect Life Committee, 4311 88th Ave SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040-4100.
A private burial was held at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline.
