John Edward Riley III passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at his home in Bellevue. He was 86.

Riley was born on Dec. 27, 1924, the eldest child of John and Katherine Riley.

Mr. Riley worked for Safeco Insurance for more than 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years and their four children, daughter Kathleen Riley of Seattle, son John Riley (Laurie Johnson) of Issaquah, daughter Carol Walters (Dan) of Olympia, and son Mark Riley (Joy Downing Riley) of Ventura, Calif.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church in Bellevue.
