Memorial services for long-time Bellevue resident and hairstylist Karlynn (Hester) Howard will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 25 at the Vasa Park Ballroom. Karlynn died unexpectedly on March 18.
A 1978 graduate of Sammamish High School, she began her hairdressing career the next year at Finishing Touch Salon in Crossroads, owned by her mother, Janis Hester. In 2004 she moved to the Beautiful People Salon, where she worked until her death.
Survivors include husband, Richard Howard of Bellevue; three sons, Tyler Howard (Kaci), Brian Howard and Dan Howard; “pride and joy” granddaughter Leighton Howard; father, Leon Hester (Margo) of Bellevue; brothers Kurt Hester (Tara) of Renton and Russell Howard of Mt. Vernon, as well as nieces Christy Hester, Mandy Hester, Ashley Hester, Maddy Hester and Sarah Hester.
