The King County Library System’s Look to Your Library campaign received national attention as a finalist in two categories for the Nonprofit PR Awards sponsored by George Washington University and PR Web.
“Look to Your Library” is the KCLS outreach effort to encourage area residents to use free library resources to help find jobs and improve their employment skills during the economic crisis.
The library’s media relations outreach campaign and innovative special Web pages placed KCLS in the ranks of leading corporations, nonprofits, and agencies large and small as finalists for national recognition and top honors in the 2009 Nonprofit PR Awards. Presented by PR News, the program showcases the most talented communicators and teams in the nonprofit sector.
