A handful of preps from the area took part in the Official Player Watch combine, including Bellevue’s Ari Morales and Marcus Griffin, Sammamish’s Stephen Fry and Issaquah’s Shay Dingfelder.

Morales, who ran a 4.46 in the 40 at the combine, was selected the Best in Combine in his third year at the event.

“He was unstoppable in the one-on-one drills,” coach Damian Lowery said. “He displayed quick feet, great balance and speed through the drills.”

Griffin was named Best Defensive Lineman in camp and Dingfelder was named Best Defensive Lineman in camp as well.

Former Washington State standout Mkristo Bruce said of Griffin, “Marcus stood out in an area that you can’t teach or coach, being a leader.”

Former NFL player and University of Montana alum Cody Balogh had this to say on Dingfelder:

“No matter what the drill he was trying to be the best.”

Official Player Watch hosts combines in several cities each year.
