Lori AlmaJosé passed away at her home in Bellevue on April 24, 2012 after an eight-month battle with cancer. She was 52.

She was born on May 22, 1959 in Ann Arbor, MI., to José Portillo AlmaJosé and Josefina Ledesma AlmaJosé and lived in Bellevue since 1963. She graduated from Newport High School in Bellevue in 1977.

Lori worked for U.S. Postal Service, rising to the level of Manager of Delivery and Customer Service Programs for the Seattle District.

She is survived by her father, José; siblings Annie Gochenour, Tina and David Soike, Chris AlmaJosé, and Carmen AlmaJosé; nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Sat. May 5 at St. Madeleine Sophie Catholic Church, 4400 – 130th Place SE, Bellevue. A reception will follow at the church. Her remains will be interred in the family mausoleum in Iloilo, Philippines.
