Bellevue Police report the man had been at the bus stop around 3 p.m., when he said several teenagers approached him and asked for a dime. When the man didn’t have a dime, he told police he was bumped by one of the teenagers who then swung at him. The man reported he fought back and the teens started to hit him, causing the man to flee to a nearby Chevron station for help.

Officers set up a perimeter, blocking traffic to allow a King County K-9 unit to search the area. Police made contact with several juveniles who were determined to have not been involved in the alleged assault and wrapped up their search about 40 minutes. The suspects are described by the alleged victim as three to four Hispanic males and one black male, all 17-19 years of age.
