The Bellevue Police Department apprehended the “man bun bandit” on April 12, a serial burglar who had allegedly committed crimes in Bellevue, Olympia and Lacey over the past year.
Police have responded to several commercial burglaries over the last year where the suspect was seen with the distinctive “man bun” hairstyle, in which his long hair was pulled into a bun atop his head.
On March 27, a commercial burglary occurred at the Infinity dealership in Bellevue. The Bellevue Police were able to positively identify the suspect from surveillance images and arrested a 48-year-old Sea-Tac resident in connection with the crimes.
The “man bun bandit” reportedly confessed to more than ten commercial burglaries in Bellevue, Olympia and Lacey over the last year. He has been booked into King County Jail for investigation of burglary and possession of stolen property.
The police investigation is ongoing.
