Alex Morcos has filed for Position 7 on the Medina City Council. He is unopposed and he will be elected in the November general election.
Morcos has served on on the Medina Planning Commission for three years and serves as the Vice-Chair.
Morcos moved to the Eastside from France in 1991 to join the Microsoft International team. He grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and is fluent in three languages.
He later retired from Microsoft and started a commercial real estate business on the Eastside.
He and family moved to Medina 12 years ago. His wife, Nayla, is a graphic designer. Their son, Najib, graduated from University of Washington in 2006 and works for T-Mobile in the Factoria headquarters.
