Mary Joan Kilian of Bellevue died Jan. 1, 2011. She was 76.
Mrs. Kilian was born August 11, 1934, in Havre, Mont., to Andrew (Jack) and Helen Giacobazzi. The family moved to Seattle in 1947.
She married Robert Kilian on Aug. 20, 1955.
She did various volunteer jobs when her children were in school. After her youngest child graduated from high school, she went to work in the dental office of Dr Don Blair, retiring after 25 years as receptionist and office manager.
In 2004 she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
She is survived by her husband and their two children, Karen Kilian, Seattle and Scott (Katie) Kilian and grandchild, Emma, all of Denver; sisters, Jean (Terry) Mosness, Ft. Collins, Colo., and Sue (Brian) Gribble, Maui; and brothers, Peter Giacobazzi (Leah), Tarzana, Calif., and Joe Giacobazzi (Gail), Sammamish.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13 at St. Louise Parish in Bellevue. A reception will follow at Glendale Country Club.
