MBNA hosting meeting on waterfront park, Main Street

The Meydenbauer Bay Neighbors Association will host a public forum 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 to hear about the city's plans for its waterfront park and what it is doing about traffic concerns on Main Street amid an increase in new construction.

The Meydenbauer Bay Neighbors Association will host a public forum 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 to hear about the city’s plans for its waterfront park and what it is doing about traffic concerns on Main Street amid an increase in new construction.

Bellevue Councilmember Lynne Robinson will be the keynote speaker for Thursday’s event.

The association has invited the design coordinator for the first phase of the Meydenbauer Bay Park to discuss with city residents how development will proceed and what the future park’s impact may be to the neighborhood.

Mark Poch, the city’s traffic engineering manager, will speak about traffic impacts from new construction on Main Street and future mitigation plans. Other guest speakers include members from the Bellevue Police Department and Mercer Island Marine Patrol.

The meeting will be held at the Meydenbauer Yacht Club at 9927 Meydenbauer Way S.E.
