A Town Hall meeting to discuss what values people want in the state’s health care system is set for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 at Temple B’nai Torah, 15727 N.E. Fourth St. in Bellevue.
The meeting, sponsored by the Healthy Washington Coalition is designed to give people an opportunity to discuss challenges facing health care and how reform can be achieved.
The Healthy Washington Coalition promoted legislation that required the state to contract with an actuarial firm to analyze five health care reform proposals (Senate bill 6333, passed February 2008). The report from the actuarial firm is due by the end of December 2008. Each proposal will be analyzed to determine if it provides the people of the state with access to high-quality health care services in the most efficient way possible.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
