Miyake to represent U.S. Japan Council in Tokyo, Fukuoka

Bellevue Interim City Manager Brad Miyake begins his weeklong visit of Japan Friday as one of 10 representatives for the Japanese American Leadership Delegation in order to build a greater understanding of multicultural America.

Bellevue Interim City Manager Brad Miyake begins his weeklong visit of Japan Friday as one of 10 representatives for the Japanese American Leadership Delegation in order to build a greater understanding of multicultural America.

Miyake was selected as a representative of the U.S. Japan Council  to meet with Japanese leaders in business, government and education, among others. The program is supported by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Japanese American Leadership Delegation is in its 14th year, and this year’s delegation will be visiting Fukuoka and Tokyo March 7-15.

Miyake will also serve as a panelist during a discussion sponsored by the Japan Foundation Center for Global Parnership and the USJC. This is his first visit to Japan.
